It reinvests all of its revenue to sustain the  Café’s operations and invites donors to give so that Kitchen of Hope can prepare more food for more people in need.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Established on March 16\, 2021\, on the occasion of the 500th year of Christianity in the Philippines\,  the Missionaries of the Assumption Paglaum PDO  envisions Kitchen of Hope to be a movement that will support street dwellers\, rough sleepers\, and urban poor and migrants who lost their homes\, by providing warm meals\, conversation and counseling\, transient dormitory\, and even employment opportunities when possible.Kitchen of Hope takes inspiration from Social Bite upon hearing about it during Spring Rain Global  PDO Ecosystem’s participation in the World’s Biggest Sleepout in 2019 which was co-organized by  Social Bite founder\, Josh Littlejohn MBE.\nThis program’s beneficiaries are primarily the homeless street dwellers and rough sleepers\,  as well as manual laborers\, ambulatory vendors\, and peddlers along J.P. Cabaguio Avenue in  Agdao and other areas in Davao City as they also come to the Kitchen of Hope.\nAside from the procurement of initial kitchen equipment and supplies\, the funds from the Global Sleepout were able to provide 2\,880 meal sets for 6 months.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 2. San Roque Parish\, Mandaue City\, Cebu\nKapasilungan Project – A Halfway House for Street Dwellers\nThe objectives of the program/program are:\n\nTo provide for street dwellers within the surroundings of the San Roque Parish a facility where they can do their toilet needs\, wash their laundry and have their shower;\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nTo create a social support to the beneficiaries among the parishioners and motivate our people to extend help for the homeless families (e.g. sponsor a family for their food\, supply of detergent soap\, shampoo and other needs);\nTo walk with the beneficiaries in their journey of faith.\n\nThis Kapasilungan Projects aims to address the basic needs of the street dwellers especially observing good hygiene. Being in the street\, our beneficiaries do not have ready access to clean water to take a bath and do their laundry. They buy their water for drinking and pay for taking a public facility for their shower and toilet duties. Oftentimes\, they don’t mind not being able to take a bath for a few days to save money. Similarly\, they relieve themselves in open spaces.This Kapasilungan Project caters to the non-residents / voters of Barangays Subangdaku\, Tipolo and Banilad. In our little way\, we provide food and clothing for our homeless brothers and sister whom we call “kapwa” who knocks on our door. We make sure that they leave our place not empty-handed. Moreover\, we also helped the victims of calamities like typhoons who lost their houses. LAWRENCE DEACON AND MARTYR PARISH STEWARDSHIP AND PHILANTHROPIC DEVELOPMENT OFFICE\n “Accompanying families\, building homes for the homeless and the vulnerable” so goes the mission embraced by  the San Lorenzo Deacon and Martyr Parish Stewardship and Philanthropic Development Office (SLDMSPDO) project ALFA. Since its inception in the late 2019\, project ALFA\, (Allocating Logistics for Family Accompaniment or Alagang Familia)\, was initially an attempt at addressing the needs of the children and the Out of School Youth for education through the “Mobile Aklatan” and the community-based children and youth formation\, and\, at accompanying gender-based violence and VAWC survivors. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n But the project which Baras PNP through its then OIC Chief Police Lieutenant Leslie Barlis originally presented to a multidisciplinary team from the LGU\, the religious and non-government sectors soon evolved into project ALFA in mid-2020 after a challenging question in one of the meetings of the multi disciplinary team was raised: “Why not help families if we were to help the children and the youth?” \nNow on its third year\, project ALFA has accompanied 6 families 3 of whom were through “pangkabuhayan” assistance in which a starting fund was given to each of them amounting to 30\,000.00 pesos. Two were assisted in maximizing the benefits of 50\,000 peso financial assistance from government and non-government agencies like DSWD Baras\, Red Cross and individual donors by overseeing the construction of their homes destroyed by super typhoon Rolly. SLDMDSPDO’s project ALFA is still to assist these families to either repair or construct their homes this year through the Global Sleep Out fundraising campaign. From there the beneficiaries’ solidarity monthly contribution for the repair or construction of their homes together with those from donors can be used to repair and build the homes of the 14 more Gender-Based Violence or VAWC survivors. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 5) VINCENTIAN FOUNDATION PDO\n Be one of our 5000 sleepers this Global Sleep Out!
