SUMMARY:Global Sleep Out 2022
DESCRIPTION:MAKE YOUR SLEEP COUNT\n \n \n \n \n \n REGISTER HERE\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n In June\, Prince William celebrated his birthday by visiting a homeless shelter. “I was 11 when I first visited a homeless shelter with my mother\, who in her own inimitable style was determined to shine a light on an overlooked\, misunderstood problem.”  \nHomelessness continues to be a social and economic indicator of poverty. According to the Office of the High Commissioner on Human Rights\, “Experiencing homelessness means not having stable\, safe and adequate housing\, nor the means and ability of obtaining it.” Homelessness is rooted in many factors\, a symptom that holds all sectors of society at fault. While many in society remain blind to the suffering of the homeless\, we must strive to bring this issue to the forefront of public awareness.   \n \n \n \n On December 3\, 2022\, be among the 5\,000 sleepers who will join The Global Sleep Out which aims to raise funds to support members of the Spring Rain Global Ecosystem of Good and their projects for the homeless and the vulnerable in the Philippines and India. \nThe main program of The Global Sleep Out will be hosted by San Roque Parish in Subangdaku\, Mandaue City\, while simultaneous Sleep Out programs will happen on different locations such as in Payatas\, Quezon City and in General Santos in Mindanao.  \nHere are two ways for you to join: \n\nRegister to be a participant sleeper. Participants will sleep out or sleep rough\, away from the comfort of their own beds\, in solidarity with those who had been forced by life’s circumstances to be homeless.\nDonate to the nine participating philanthropic development offices. Your donations will be used to fund their programs for the homeless in the Philippines and India.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n REGISTER NOW

SUMMARY:SRG's PDO Bootcamp 2022 - Batch 3
DESCRIPTION:SRG's PDO Bootcamp 2022 (Batch 3)\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Here\n \n \n \n Spring Rain Global is a social enterprise that envisions to be the leading global partner towards a sustainable ecosystem among donors and donees supporting Missions through financial planning and philanthropy. Through an international team of highly-experienced professionals in the development\, philanthropic\, and financial planning sectors\, SRG helps its clients network and raise funds\, supporters\, and other resources necessary to continue serving communities in need through the Spring Rain Global 6-Pillar Capacitation Model©. \nWe are devoted to break cycles of poverty in all its forms. For the past thirteen years\, we have worked to help create a greater good in every community our client organizations serve. We believe that systemic change can only occur if the smallest development player who works at the very grassroots of society is empowered.  In today’s philanthropic landscape\, these organizations are typically ignored and their potential to contribute to human development overshadowed. \nWe work with religious congregations\, schools\, corporations\, non-government\, civic/volunteer associations\, and other organizations pursuing varied and valid development advocacies and programs\, but are perpetually at risk of having their programs discontinued whenever there is a crisis or a change of leadership. Innovative in our approach\, we provide these organizations the tools and create systems to help them become more sustainable. \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Here\n \n \n \n The Bootcamp is perfect for PDOs who are ready to take the next step in developing themselves with more focus\, confidence\, and who are looking to be connected to and maintain relationships with donors. The fee per PDO is at Php 45\,000.00 or Php 7\,500 per week. For non PDO’s it is at Php 60\,000.00 or Php 10\,000.00 per pillar. The registration fee covers all PDO staff. \nIn our experience\, after establishing these pillars\, the organizations become more focused\, confident and better equipped to connect and maintain relationships with donors\, thereby enabling them to stay true to their visions\, scale up in their missions\, and impact more beneficiaries. Unlike with other trainings that are just done one-time and participants are left to work on the outputs on their own\, the SRG PDO Bootcamp kicks off a coaching journey customized to the particular needs and context of each participant organization to help them set-up each pillar for achievement of funding goals and sustainability. \nWe hope to be able to meet with you soon to talk to you more about the SRG PDO ACCELERATOR BOOTCAMP and explain how the Spring Rain Global 6-Pillar Capacitation Model© would help your organization\, especially in these truly uncertain times. \n\n \n \n \n Should you have any questions\, please feel free to email our Chief Executive Consultant\, Ms. Kiel S Fernandez\, at kiel.springrainglobal@gmail.com\, or call 09171369399 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Pay through Paypal\n \n \n \n Kindly send your transaction slip to springrainglobal@gmail.com \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Here

DESCRIPTION:GLOBAL SLEEP OUT\n Swap your bed for a sleeping bag and help fight homelessness in your sleep! \nOn Feb 26\, together with the other Philanthropic Development Organizations (PDOs) in the Spring Rain Global PDO Ecosystem is taking part in the Global Sleepout\, an awareness\, fundraising\, and solidarity event to help the homeless and the vulnerable. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The Global Sleep Out is an offshoot of Spring Rain Global and Vincentian Foundation’s participation in the World’s Big Sleepout last 2019.  The event then was held simultaneously in Manila and Cebu.  It was able to raise 7\,800 USD and was participated in by 960 participants.  Last year\, we shifted to our own brand – The Global Sleep Out for the benefit of the PDOs in the SRG Ecosystem doing various advocacies for the homeless – from building homes and providing shelters for the poor\, elderly\, and orphans; to livelihood\, savings program\, and community development initiatives; to feeding programs and soup kitchens. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n On Feb 26\, with your minimum donation of P500\, we will experience how it is to be homeless\, even if just for one night.  Given the limitation of congregating during this time of the pandemic\, we challenge you to not sleep on the comfort of your bed\, and sleep outside or on your floor.  There will be a program that will be live-streamed in the SRG and (PDO) Fb pages as we learn about the different initiatives (PDO) and the rest of the other organizations in our ecosystem are doing to care for the homeless and the vulnerable. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n REGISTER HERE\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Rather than gather together at large venues\, this year we’re asking you to sleep out  “at home”. You can sleep: \n\nin your garden\nor an (empty) bathtub\non a school playground\noutside a youth club\nor just somewhere you wouldn’t normally sleep\n\n \nYou can take part on your own\, with your family or with a group\, and there’s no age limit this year so everyone can join in.   \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Our goal is to have 5000 people sleeping out with us on Feb 26 – that is equivalent to P2.5 Million that would go to helping the HOMELESS and the VULNERABLE. \nWe hope that you will accept this challenge.  In the Philippines alone\, there are approximately 4.5 million people who are homeless.  The Covid 19 pandemic with the lockdowns\, economic slowdown and closing of businesses; and the devastating effects of recent disasters\, like Typhoon Odette\, have undoubtedly added more people to this number.  Your P500 donation and your participation in this Global Sleepout will mean a lot in amplifying the need for more holistic\, systemic\, and sustainable interventions to solve this important development issue. \nYour participation counts. For more inquiries contact Ms. Cheryl Tradio at +63 923 328 3318 or cheryl@springrain.the.ph. \nTo donate and register for this event\, click the button below. \n \n REGISTER HERE\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n The 3 main beneficiaries of the past Global Sleep Out are the ff:\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 1. Paglaum PDO of the Missionaries of the Assumption\nKitchen of Hope is a non-profit initiative that works to feed the hungry\, especially the homeless and most marginalized\, through its pop-up snack Café. Patrons can purchase an extra set of snacks or meals to give to those that need them but can’t afford them. It reinvests all of its revenue to sustain the  Café’s operations and invites donors to give so that Kitchen of Hope can prepare more food for more people in need.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Established on March 16\, 2021\, on the occasion of the 500th year of Christianity in the Philippines\,  the Missionaries of the Assumption Paglaum PDO  envisions Kitchen of Hope to be a movement that will support street dwellers\, rough sleepers\, and urban poor and migrants who lost their homes\, by providing warm meals\, conversation and counseling\, transient dormitory\, and even employment opportunities when possible.Kitchen of Hope takes inspiration from Social Bite upon hearing about it during Spring Rain Global  PDO Ecosystem’s participation in the World’s Biggest Sleepout in 2019 which was co-organized by  Social Bite founder\, Josh Littlejohn MBE.\nThis program’s beneficiaries are primarily the homeless street dwellers and rough sleepers\,  as well as manual laborers\, ambulatory vendors\, and peddlers along J.P. Cabaguio Avenue in  Agdao and other areas in Davao City as they also come to the Kitchen of Hope.\nAside from the procurement of initial kitchen equipment and supplies\, the funds from the Global Sleepout were able to provide 2\,880 meal sets for 6 months.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 2. San Roque Parish\, Mandaue City\, Cebu\nKapasilungan Project – A Halfway House for Street Dwellers\nThe objectives of the program/program are:\n\nTo provide for street dwellers within the surroundings of the San Roque Parish a facility where they can do their toilet needs\, wash their laundry and have their shower;\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\nTo create a social support to the beneficiaries among the parishioners and motivate our people to extend help for the homeless families (e.g. sponsor a family for their food\, supply of detergent soap\, shampoo and other needs);\nTo walk with the beneficiaries in their journey of faith.\n\nThis Kapasilungan Projects aims to address the basic needs of the street dwellers especially observing good hygiene. Being in the street\, our beneficiaries do not have ready access to clean water to take a bath and do their laundry. They buy their water for drinking and pay for taking a public facility for their shower and toilet duties. Oftentimes\, they don’t mind not being able to take a bath for a few days to save money. Similarly\, they relieve themselves in open spaces. This Kapasilungan Project caters to the non-residents / voters of Barangays Subangdaku\, Tipolo and Banilad. Our beneficiaries came from the provinces and do not have relatives in the city.\nThe project aims to help 5 families during the 1 year project duration.\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 3. Thus we respond to the present realities of the church especially homelessness through the Calamity and Disaster Relief Advocacy. In our little way\, we provide food and clothing for our homeless brothers and sister whom we call “kapwa” who knocks on our door. We make sure that they leave our place not empty-handed. Moreover\, we also helped the victims of calamities like typhoons who lost their houses. The programs under this advocacy are Disaster and Calamity responses through food packs\, clothing\, and household wares distributions to address the immediate needs of the victims and materials for house repairs. This includes victims of fire\, floods\, typhoon and COVID-19 victims. \nWhen the COVID-19 hit our country or even globally\, our responses and assistance to needs of our most vulnerable people has been heightened and have continued\, thanks to the responses and support of our donors and the SRG Ecosystem of Good we are able to extend more help  in different parts of the country and even outside like\, India\, Indonesia\, and Vietnam.  However\, our activities are more concentrated in the Philippines. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 4) PAGLAUM PDO\n Kitchen of Hope is a non-profit initiative that works to feed the hungry\, especially the homeless and most marginalized\, through its Cafe/Restaurant. Since its inception in the late 2019\, project ALFA\, (Allocating Logistics for Family Accompaniment or Alagang Familia)\, was initially an attempt at addressing the needs of the children and the Out of School Youth for education through the “Mobile Aklatan” and the community-based children and youth formation\, and\, at accompanying gender-based violence and VAWC survivors. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n But the project which Baras PNP through its then OIC Chief Police Lieutenant Leslie Barlis originally presented to a multidisciplinary team from the LGU\, the religious and non-government sectors soon evolved into project ALFA in mid-2020 after a challenging question in one of the meetings of the multi disciplinary team was raised: “Why not help families if we were to help the children and the youth?” \nNow on its third year\, project ALFA has accompanied 6 families 3 of whom were through “pangkabuhayan” assistance in which a starting fund was given to each of them amounting to 30\,000.00 pesos. Two were assisted in maximizing the benefits of 50\,000 peso financial assistance from government and non-government agencies like DSWD Baras\, Red Cross and individual donors by overseeing the construction of their homes destroyed by super typhoon Rolly. SLDMDSPDO’s project ALFA is still to assist these families to either repair or construct their homes this year through the Global Sleep Out fundraising campaign. From there the beneficiaries’ solidarity monthly contribution for the repair or construction of their homes together with those from donors can be used to repair and build the homes of the 14 more Gender-Based Violence or VAWC survivors. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 5) VINCENTIAN FOUNDATION PDO\n Be one of our 5000 sleepers this Global Sleep Out! Sleep outside the comfort of our own beds for 1 night in solidarity with our homelessness brothers and sisters! Following last year’s Global Sleep Out\, this year’s setting will also be done virtually in compliance to the safety guidelines brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. This event was postponed in solidarity to the victims of Typhoon Odette. #HomelessNotHopeless \nYour donation will contribute to the fund for the homeless that aims to support the Vincentian Foundation’s housing projects\, San Roque Parish’s Kapasilungan project\, and Vincent Helps’ goal to house 5 homeless families currently sleeping in the streets. 20% of the registration fee will also be donated to 5 religious Philanthropic Development Offices with Homelessness as an advocacy. \nDonation Platforms: GCash\, Metrobank\, UCPB\, Bank of Commerce\, PayPal \nYou may also register as a fundraiser below where a portion of the registration fee will be allocated for your cause. SUMMARY:Introduction to Fundraising: Achieve your 2022 Funding Goals
DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Fundraising: Achieve your 2022 Funding Goals\n 2022 is off to a rough start.  Many communities in Luzon\, Visayas\, and Mindanao are still reeling from the devastating effects of Typhoon Odette/Rai which struck the Philippines a few days before Christmas; while the latest variant of Covid-19 is again delaying economic recovery.  It is getting more difficult for social purpose organizations to raise much needed funds for their advocacies with many crises competing for the donor’s limited attention and resources. \nDespite these realities\, however\, we believe that our projects with our beneficiaries and communities remain important.  It is crucial that we continue to give the same\, if not increased\, level of assistance to our communities.  Religious congregations\, church organizations\, civic associations\, and other social purpose organizations need to be able to navigate and be more creative in our resource generation strategies. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Spring Rain Global invites you to a special learning session on INTRODUCTION TO FUNDRAISING: ACHIEVE YOUR 2022 FUNDING GOALS.  Whether you belong to an organization new to raising funds or just wanting to get new ideas to jumpstart your creativity\, this learning session will help you – \n\nLearn about the Donor Development Process – from Donor Solicitation\, Acquisition\, Cultivation\, Retention. How to relate to different donors depending on their stage or level in the process\, and the different strategies you can use to move from one stage to the next? What is Stewardship?  How do we highlight spirituality in stewardship to create more lasting donor relationships?\nKnowing who to Approach – Mapping your Prospects. How do you know who to approach for your year-end fundraising strategies?  Who are your internal and external constituents?  What is the difference of warm and cold fundraising and how do you calibrate your approach to warm and cold prospects to achieve your goals?\nFundraising in the New Normal – the pandemic has changed the landscape of philanthropy. For one thing\, it accelerated the shift to a more virtual way of meeting and connecting with donors.  How prepared is your organization to accept digital donations?  Learn about creative ways fundraising events are transitioning to virtual and the opportunities and challenges you may encounter.\n\nINTRODUCTION TO FUNDRAISING: ACHIEVE YOUR 2022 FUNDING GOALS is scheduled on February 18\, 3pm\, Philippine time\, via zoom.  Cost of registration is Php1\,500 with an option for follow-up and more intensive one-on-one coaching sessions. \nWe look forward to your positive reply.  For any questions or inquiries\, you may get in touch with Ms. Cheryl Tradio at +63 923 328 3318 or cheryl@springrain.the.ph. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Here\n \n \n \n INTRODUCTION TO FUNDRAISING: ACHIEVE YOUR 2022 FUNDING GOALS is organized by Spring Rain Global\, a social enterprise that aims to coach philanthropic development organizations\, religious congregations\, non-profits\, and other organizations in Asia\, Africa and beyond towards sustainability.  It envisions to be the leading global partner towards a sustainable ecosystem among donors and donees supporting Missions through financial planning and philanthropy. SUMMARY:Financial Planning Pillar Forum: Building a Sustainable Future
DESCRIPTION:BUILDING A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE\n A forum to assess\, plan\, build and sustain the needs of time \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n To begin the year 2022\, Spring Rain Global proudly presents the 1st Spring Rain Global Financial Planning Forum\, happening virtually on January 28-29\, 2022 with the theme “Building a Sustainable Future\, Moving Towards Sustainable Impact”. \nAs one of the 6 pillars\, Financial Planning is often neglected by most organizations focused only on their short-term\, immediate funding needs. These organizations often operate in survival mode\, always scrambling for donations and panic when unexpected crisis\, like the Covid 19 pandemic\, occur. Financial Planning is an important space to look into\, adapting various models and financial strategies to enable an organization to assess long term financial needs\, mitigate risks\, and determine the resources required to support and meet objectives and fulfill the organizations’ overarching mission\, as well as plans for continued growth. \nIn this virtual forum\, SRG will gather thought leaders from the church\, government\, academe\, businesses\, and the development sectors–including funders\, regulators and program implementers. The esteemed line-up of speakers will be providing insights into the fundamentals and new innovations of financial planning and the important steps to undertake to be able to sustain missions and adapt with the ever changing needs of time. \n \n REGISTER HERE\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n REGISTER HERE\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n REGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:SRG's PDO Bootcamp
DESCRIPTION:SRG's PDO Bootcamp\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Here\n \n \n \n Spring Rain Global is a social enterprise that envisions to be the leading global partner towards a sustainable ecosystem among donors and donees supporting Missions through financial planning and philanthropy. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n We kicked off October with another exciting edition of Spring Rain Global’s PDO Accelerator Bootcamp.  \nThe bootcamp is a six-day intensive training program held virtually via Zoom meetings\, every Thursdays from October 14 to November 18. Open to Philanthropic Development Offices\, it is a crash course delivered by experts aimed at accelerating the PDOs’ development and setting up their systems.  \nWhy should you join? \n\n\n\nThrough the patented SRG 6-Pillar Capacitation Model©\, learn about key elements for a successful\, sustainable PDO operation: leadership and governance\, program development and management\, philanthropy\, financial planning\, database management\, and ecosystem building.\nAsk your burning questions and get answers on the spot from our roster of speakers and seasoned development professionals.\n\n\n\nThe Bootcamp is perfect for PDOs who are ready to take the next step in developing themselves with more focus\, confidence\, and who are looking to be connected to and maintain relationships with donors. Register now for the Bootcamp. \n\n \n \n \n Should you have any questions\, please feel free to email our Chief Executive Consultant\, Ms. Kiel S Fernandez\, at kiel.springrainglobal@gmail.com\, or call 09171369399 \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Pay through Paypal\n \n \n \n Kindly send your transaction slip to springrainglobal@gmail.com \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register Here

At the recent 5th Asian Philanthropic Development Conference\, representatives from NGOs and philanthropic development offices (PDOs) called for government support\, funding\, sponsorship\, and investments\, and stronger cooperation from philanthropists\, the private sector\, and civil society to help build their resilience and the sustainability of their advocacies and services to those most affected by the pandemic. \nMeanwhile\, the Philippines is celebrating the quincentenary of the Roman Catholic Church in the country. In his message to the Filipinos for the Jubilee celebration of the 500 Years ofChristianity in the Philippines\, Pope Francis emphasized the importance of giving as a way to mark this unique milestone. “Renew your enthusiasm for evangelization. Reach out to others and bring them the hope and joy of the Gospel\,” he said. \nSocial enterprise Spring Rain Global (SRG) is responding to the Church’s call to give and the urgent need in the Philippines in light of the pandemic with the “500 Gifts for 500 Years” campaign. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Learn More!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Calendar of activies\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n September 2021\n 08 – Holy Mass and Campaign Launch11 – Spring Rain Global18 – Bakhita Canossa Foundation Inc – PDO and San Pablo Apostol Parish\, Tondo Stewardship and Philanthropic Development Office25 – Diocese of San Carlos PDO \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n October 2021\n 02 – Lourdes School of Quezon City PDO and OFM Capuchins09 – Carmel Development Center PDO (Carmelite Sisters of Our Lady)16 – Order of Carmelites PDO23 – Claretian Missionary Sisters PDO30 – Diocese of Laoag PDO \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n November 2021\n 06 – Carmelite Missionaries PDO13 – Missionaries of the Assumption – Paglaum PDO20 – Passionist PDO (Congregation of the Passion of Jesus Christ)27 – Vincentian Foundation PDO \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n December 2021\n 04 –  The Camillian Fathers Foundation PDO11 –  Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation PDO \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n About the Event\n The “500 Gifts for 500 Years” campaign is a platform organized by social enterprise Spring Rain Global (SRG) to help 14 Philippine-based philanthropic development offices (PDOs) raise funds to empower their workers who serve the most vulnerable.
