In 1979 the MLILC founders acquired land near the old Iyam Bridge. After much excavation and landscaping, the first building was constructed. Years later the city raised the road with a new Iyam Bridge. The original building was renovated , expanded and is now used for MLILC’s main campus.

In 1999 MLILC started with 8 students, 1 teacher and 1 assistant teacher. Then last school year 2014-2016 the school had 349 students with 51 teachers and staff. MLILC continued to grow by expanding classrooms and adding elementary levels.

Last February 2, 2015 the ground breaking and construction of MLILC Extension Campus began which was also the launching of MLILC H.O.P.E Project which are the core values that means Help families build strong homes; Open doors of opportunity; Promote healthy God-given passion and Elevate the individual via education.
