Homelessness is a pressing issue that affects individuals and communities worldwide. It is a social and economic indicator of poverty, highlighting the lack of stable, safe, and adequate housing for those experiencing it. Homelessness is a complex problem with various underlying factors, and it is a symptom that implicates all sectors of society.

According to a global survey by the United Nations in 2005, an estimated 100 million people were homeless worldwide. As many as 1.6 billion people lacked adequate housing (Habitat, 2015), with around 15 million being forcibly evicted each year. In 2021, the World Economic Forum reported that 150 million people were homeless worldwide.

Spring Rain Global is once again hosting this year’s Global Sleep Out. We are continuing our mission to help eradicate poverty in all its forms, including homelessness. 

Join this year’s Global Sleep Out happening on December 2, 2023 at the Capitol Parish Gym in Kamputhaw, Cebu City. Be one of the thousands of sleepers who will sacrifice the comfort of their sleep and raise funds to support various philanthropic development organizations in their programs for the homeless and vulnerable.
